Loch Lloyd

Loch Lloyd

In 2010, the Country Club at Loch Lloyd, a Tom Watson design, decided to completely renovate it's 18 hole course as well as add an additional 9 holes. The project called for completely stripping the existing course, regrading the holes, hydroseeding and seeding the new layout. In all, Storm Water Supply sodded roughly 58 acres during the reconstruction for the rough areas, bunker complexes, tee boxes and collars.

The City of Clinton decided to go with the IA-DOT Rural Seed Mixture for this project and use a double net straw blanket as the mulch cover. The contractor decided to use the 16’ wide “highway rolls” for this project because of the long, open area that was to be done, as well as the increased productivity and shorter installation time that the bigger rolls provide.  Our  ECB roll-out attachment was utilized to help with the installation of the 16’ x 450’ rolls of straw blanket. The roll-out device can be used with a tractor or a skid loader and can be configured on sight to handle 8’ and 16’ wide rolls.
